SaktoMeal is a meal-planning tool built to help you cook smarter and save more. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your choices regarding that data.
SaktoMeal uses Google Firebase Analytics to collect anonymized usage data. This includes page views, feature interactions, and general engagement metrics (e.g., screens viewed, buttons clicked, session duration). No personally identifiable information (PII) such as your name, email address, or exact location is collected through Firebase Analytics. We also store your favorites, buy lists, and saved meals locally in your browser using localStorage — this data never leaves your device unless you explicitly share it.
The analytics data we collect helps us understand which features are most useful, identify bugs or performance issues, and prioritize future improvements. Local storage data is used solely to persist your preferences and saved content across sessions, so you don't have to re-enter or re-save them every time you visit.
SaktoMeal integrates Google Firebase Analytics, a service provided by Google LLC. Firebase Analytics automatically collects certain device and usage information, such as device model, operating system version, app version, and in-app events. This data is transmitted to Google and processed in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy. Firebase Analytics does not associate the data with any personally identifiable information unless you choose to provide it. You can opt out of Firebase Analytics by disabling analytics in your device settings or by using the 'Limit Ad Tracking' / 'Do Not Track' settings on your device — note that this may affect our ability to improve the app based on usage patterns.
SaktoMeal does not use cookies for tracking purposes. We rely on your browser's localStorage to store app preferences, favorites, and saved meals. All localStorage data remains on your device and can be cleared at any time through your browser settings or by clearing site data. No third-party cookies are used.
In addition to Firebase Analytics, SaktoMeal uses Cloudflare Workers to proxy commodity price data from public government APIs. These requests are anonymized and do not include any personal data. Cloudflare's privacy policy applies to the transmission of these requests. We do not sell, trade, or share your data with any other third parties.
Firebase Analytics retains user-level and event-level data for a period of 2 months, after which the data is aggregated and anonymized. Your localStorage data persists until you manually clear it or uninstall the app. We do not maintain any server-side database of user information.
You have the right to access, correct, or delete any data we hold about you. Since most of your data is stored locally on your device, you can manage it directly through your browser settings. For analytics data collected by Firebase, you can opt out at any time via your device's advertising or analytics settings. If you have questions or requests regarding your data, please contact us using the information below.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date. We encourage you to review this page periodically to stay informed about how we are protecting your data.
If you have any questions, concerns, or requests regarding this Privacy Policy or your data, feel free to reach out via email at rainiersison1@gmail.com. We aim to respond to all inquiries within a reasonable timeframe.
